 About the Book

Many Doctor Who blogs are written by fans who have been watching the show since they were children, from episodes featuring the then-current Third, Fourth, or Fifth Doctors (Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, or Peter Davison, respectively). Not so ConfessionsMoreMany Doctor Who blogs are written by fans who have been watching the show since they were children, from episodes featuring the then-current Third, Fourth, or Fifth Doctors (Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, or Peter Davison, respectively). Not so Confessions of a Neowhovian. Having only come to Whovian fandom in 2008 through the revived series, Ms. Franklin - part hardcore fan, part clueless newcomer - offers her own unique perspective on the nearly 50-year history of the show (both pre-Hiatus and post-Hiatus eras, as she dubs them). This volume collects the posts from the blogs beginnings in January 2011 through the end of that calendar year, and is subdivided much as the blog itself is. There are the eponymous Confessions (general thoughts on the Whoniverse), Reviews (for both new episodes and R1 DVD releases - including three never-before-published reviews unavailable online), and Nu-Views (reactions of other recent fans to pre-Hiatus stories). The overviews of each Doctors era from 1963-1996, part of a marathon viewing Franklin conducted leading up to her attendance at the Gallifrey One 2012 convention, are also included as Impressions.
